Jake has committed his life to serving the public and it will be no different when serving you! At the age of 18, Jake joined the United States Marine Corps and served two tours in Iraq. After four years of honorable service, Jake successfully completed the police academy and has served as a police officer for 13 years. Jake has held many assignments throughout his law enforcement career but most notably is his time as a Homicide Detective. Jake also has a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College.
Jake began his interest in the insurance industry in 2018 during a personal journey to improve his financial knowledge. Jake quickly realized the important role insurance can play in your financial security. Jake became licensed in Property & Casualty insurance as well as Life, Annuities, & Health insurance in 2018 and was introduced to American National Insurance Company. Since that introduction, Jake became a multi-lines agency owner representing American National in 2019. Jake has taken his passion for protecting and serving others and transformed into a successful insurance agency protecting businesses’ and families’ financial future.
Jacob Sorensen, Owner
Starting in 2018, Theresa began her career as an insurance agent. She joined the Sorensen Agency team in August of 2020. As a Sales Associate, she focuses on both personal and commercial lines, including ag. Her day-to-day activities include a variety of communicating, building relationships, generating new leads, thoroughly serving and understanding the needs of her clients, and diligent record keeping. With her determination to overcome obstacles, Theresa embraces any challenges that may arise as they make for the perfect learning opportunity. She finds it very rewarding to be in the business of helping people, as she claims, “it’s full-filling to know that my job is to create peace of mind for others!”
Born and raised in the small town of Hanford, Theresa understands the significance of trust and developing good relationships. From a young age she discovered the important of a good work ethic and prides herself in recognizing that success does not come as a handout, it comes with immense dedication and the drive to keep going! In her spare time Theresa enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
